Energy, Motor, Traffic & Environment

Founded in 2002, our company conducts innovative and internationally recognized research and contributes in particular to solving environmentally relevant issues.

In close cooperation with Graz University of Technology, we work on the overall system of propulsion, energy and the associated environmental impact. The focus is on thermodynamic processes in drive systems, domestic refrigerators, tunnel ventilation and safety as well as air quality and pollutant dispersion.

The concrete implementation takes place in the development and optimization of internal combustion engine concepts and their electrification up to battery-electric and fuel cell drives as well as in cycle processes of household refrigerators and tunnel ventilation systems. For this purpose, FVT operates test stands for technical units, engines and vehicles of all power classes with the latest standard and specialized measurement technology. The developments are complemented by our expertise in the measurement and simulation of exhaust and non-exhaust emissions and their dispersion through to testing with our environmental measurement technology.
